On a more personal note,
let me tell you a bit about myself
I’ve never done the “classic 9-to-5” thing. Apart from my EU traineeship, I’ve been working solo since day one – and I love it.
I do everything I can digitally, to the point that I’m forgetting what my handwriting looks like. I also have a thing for spreadsheets and numbers, and I’m super organized (still unsure if I should consider that a superpower or a personality disorder).
I used to dance. All kinds of dances. Even taught social dancing during my university years. Other than that, I’m a never-bored night owl and a self-prescribed chocolate addict.

My journey as a Croatian translator and localizer
I took the leap into freelancing in June 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic. By December that same year, I was a full-time professional translator and had launched my own business, Croatianly yours.
Due to my previous experience, in the beginning I primarily worked as an external translator for various EU institutions. Over time, I translated 1M+ words of EU-related content (roughly about 12 novels’ worth!).
In 2021, two new clients – in the beauty and fashion industries – pulled me into the world of localization and marketing translation. So I dived into learning about marketing, copywriting, psychology, and all things related. Both of those two clients are still with me, and I have since then delivered 900K+ words of localized and marketing-focused content.
More recently, in 2024, I developed a particular interest in SEO and have been actively building expertise in the field ever since in order to give my clients’ content an even greater edge.

- Susanna Roth Translators Award winner
An international competition for young translators organized by Czech Centres and the Czech Literary Centre (2019). - Certified (sworn) court translator for French and Czech, as appointed by the minister in charge of justice affairs
- Master’s degree in French and Czech, focused on translation
A double-major study program at the University of Zagreb, after a previous bachelor’s degree. - Erasmus+ at INALCO, Paris
